FIRST EDITION hardcover, sewn-bound in red cloth with gilt lettering on front cover and spine, is in GOOD condition, having slight adhesion of some of the dust jacket at front cover joining to spine; slight slant to spine; some wear to covers, especially back cover; corners slightly bumped and worn; slight stressing to gutter from first free endpaper to frontispiece; some age-toning to pages. Dust jacket, enclosed in protective mylar (mylar not pictured), is in POOR condition, having much ancient insect damage to back cover, and some to jacket edges; front jacket cover completely separated from spine; abrasion area at top left of front jacket, partially obliterating the word "Firewater"; jacket spine shows some evidence of ancient moisture contact. Book is illustrated with endpapers, color frontispiece, and one interior drawing by Charles M. Russell, and is illustrated with some b&w photographs of Flying Hawk and M. I. McCreight. "M. I.
