This resident of Buffalo NY,was a major purveyor of patent medicines and operated the World's Dispensary and also, the Invalids Hotel and Surgical Institute, one of the best known sanitariums in the country. Dated after 1881 as the Institute opened in 1881 after a fire destroyed its previous incarnation. Piece missing from lower corner of spine but not affecting any test and with a stain on rear cover otherwise11 uniformly toned.
