The binding is tight, sound and square. The page block has a red top stain as issued. Internally clean with no inscriptions and just some age toning to endpapers mainly towards edges. The unclipped dustjacket is the second state with attribution of photograph beneath portrait of Hemingway on the rear panel - some slight loss/nibbling at spine and fold ends, also half way up spine and very occasionally at edges [see images] - the jacket spine/panel fold joints are split from the top, the rear for 3 inches and the front one for 2 inches down fold.
