Trade paperback. Condition: Fine. Uncorrected Proof. An advance proof of the 1995 reissue of James Lee Burke's first book. This was part of Burke's publisher's program to bring his early works back into print, following the success of the Dave Robicheaux novels. Of particular interest is the back cover, which lists many of these books and the date they went out of print. Half of Paradise had been out of print since 1969. A fine copy, signed by Burke.

Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. ] Hardback, octavo, 5 7/8 x 8 5/8 inches, [viii] + 312 pages, Near Fine in G+ dj (dj now in clear protective mylar). Tight square binding with hinges intact, clean endpapers, crisp & clean throughout interior. Cloth covers immaculately clean and with square corners. Book's only flaw is relatively light marker streak through publisher's brown stain across top edges of textblock. DJ clean, price corner intact, no spine fading, pretty minor wear spine ends & some edge areas, has single real flaw of appx 1/2 inch x 1 inch serious surface scuff from partial removal of a garage sale price on brown paper tape. (This dj would probably rate VG+ without the front panel scuff, and I'd think that the white area of the scuff could be colorized-in sufficiently as to make it much less noticeable.) RWR5 Fiction.
