Book is used but in very good condition, dust jacket is still bright and vivid but shows some signs of age such as minor staining and marking. Dust jacket also has some tears in the corners, but is still in very good condition. Spine of book in very good condition, minimal fading to spine and minimal cracking. Binding remains very tight and strong. Text within book is legible and clear, extremely minor foxing to very few pages. On first blank page there is an inscription from previous owner as well as the date. Also a picture of a young girl is stuck onto this blank page with the inscription. These are the only faults within the book. Book has deckle edges. The book itself is illustrated by the author throughout, and is a children's historical fiction novel retelling the life of Mary Jemison. The plot follows a twelve-year-old girl, Mary Jemison, who is captured by a band of Seneca warriors and separated from her family.
