Item Description: Jonathan Cape, 1988. Hardcover. Book Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. First edition, first impression, signed by Roald Dahl and Quentin Blake on plates attached to the ffep and title page, respectively. Fine: tight and square in sharp red boards; bright gilt; very crisp and clean, Fine but for a gentle push to the heel of the spine, modest toning to the top-edge of the page block and a tiny pen-mark to the rear pastedown. The unclipped dustwrapper (£8.50 net stated) is about Near Fine: bright and unfaded with a little wrinkling to the extremities and rubbing to the tips of the corners; 1cm closed tear at the head of the front flap; presents very well indeed in a removable, archival-quality Brodart protective cover.
