Item Description: Simon & Schuster, New York, 1969. Quarter-Bound Lt. gray boards. Book Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good Minus. Third Printing Stated. 5 5/8 X 8 5/8 Inches. Third printing stated. Not price clipped; original $6.95 price showing. It's nice to see Mr. Fischer is not infallible, though he is more often brilliant. (In fact, even his major failing -- impatience -- can be a relief from the droning sameness of the endless draws most of his opponents seemed content to play.) Despite small chips to the spine corners, DJ would grade a solid "very good" save for a small black spot to top right of front panel, and the choice of the designer (Carl Smith) to drop the subhed "My 60 Memorable Games" in white type out of a pale golden background both on front panel and spine. That gold background ink has faded over time -- albeit evenly -- till the white lettering is barely legible. 384 pp. including brief index. Bookseller Inventory # 001258

Item Description: Simon and Schuster, New York, 1969. Hardcover. Book Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Carl Smith (illustrator). 1st Edition. Simon & Schuster, 1969. Hardcover. First Edition, First Printing. Book Condition: Very Good +. Paper block is bright white with hardly any discoloration if at all, beautiful with deep black stain on top. No creases or folds. Front and rear paste downs however have a loss of paper (1/8 in.x 1in. front and1/8x1/2 in.rear) on the bottoms. Looks like a manufacturing glitch. Front lower board corner has slight bump. Top & bottom of spine softened. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good +. First State Dust Jacket with list of games ending with " Isreal.1968.1st" on rear panel. Spine is faded so only Bobby Fischer and Simon & Schuster are legible. Some light edge wear but no paper loss. $6.95 intact. Minor rubbing. No written marks at all from previous owner. This book is 42 years old so I might not be as critical as I would be if it were new but this is a very, very nice copy indeed!!! All flaws listed. As a collector myself I don't like surprises either.Jacket in Brodart cover and book placed in archival bag. Bookseller Inventory # 000102

Item Description: Simon & Schuster, New York, 1968. First edition of the grandmaster's most well known work. Octavo. Original boards. Near fine in a very good dust jacket with the usual fading to the spine. Signed "Bobby Fischer" on the front endpage. This book was purchased in Reykjavik, Iceland, where Fischer spent the final few years of his life. Rare signed copy with provenance. One of the most historically significant chess books written, My 60 Memorable Games is an enhancement of the original title, Bobby Fischer's Games of Chess. It is improved with even more game reviews, and it is written at a later point in Fischer's chess career from which he gives even greater insight. Bookseller Inventory # 470
