Item Description: Paperback. Book Condition: New. Ari Bernabei (illustrator). This item is printed on demand. Paperback. Its 1866 in New York City. Civil War Vet and Detective Pat OMalleys biggest case returns him to the deep, dark South to search for the kidnapped wealthiest inventor and entrepreneur in America. But the widening gyre of anti-Semitism and racism pulls him down into the pit of hell itself. Disguised as an Oxford England Professor, OMalley infiltrates the anti-Semites group and travels with his partners, Becky Charming and his father, Robert, down to a Collierville, Tennessee mansion. At the crux of this case are a Jewish father and his five-year-old son, Seth. They have developed a unique bond that relies on Jewish folklore and a belief that they are Mazikeen, half-angel and half-human, born from the loins of Adams strange female cohorts during the 130 years he was banished from the Garden. Will OMalley find Dr. Mergenthaler before its too late What does this world-wide eugenics group have planned for the mongrel races Read Jim Musgraves Disappearance at Mount Sinai, the second mystery in the series of Pat OMalley Mini-Mysteries. This is the second historical mystery in the popular Detective Pat OMalley series. You can read more about this series and sign-up for the newsletter at the Pat OMalley Mini-Mysteries web site. The second mystery was a featured summer reading book at the Jewish Daily Forward because it deals with the mazikeen, which are half-human and half-angel beings from Jewish folklore. Both of the mysteries so far in the series have Poetic (as in Edgar Allan Poe) style and supernatural elements that readers enjoy. These mysteries are all short but powerful reads (following Poes dictum that a work, to be effective, must be readable in one sitting). The third mystery will be a battle royale between two of the most popular brothel madams in 1860s New York City. Come join the fun with Detective OMalley and his partner, Madame Rebecca Charming, as they battle crime and Tammany Hall city corruption. As author Jim Musgrave says in his app for iPad, iPhone and Android, Carry 1860s New York City around in your pocket or purse! Forevermore would have certainly qualified for Poes Tales of Mystery and Imagination!--Carol Piner, Kindle Book Review. This is a quick and entertaining read with some very good characters and very good attention to historical details. Heres hoping that its the first in many more Pat OMalley Mysteries!--M. Chris Johnson, Portland Book Review This book is a marvelous mixture of truth, history and fiction resulting in a rollicking tale of mystery and intrigue in the style of Poe. --Ruthanne Taylor, Relaying for a Cure This item ships from La Vergne,TN. book. Item Description: Paperback. Book Condition: New. This item is printed on demand. Paperback. Read about the original Oral History interview (Independent ResearchEnglishChinese) with Mrs. Kathleen Squire (formerly James) known as Bunty or Bunty James who was the lifelong friend of Katie Doreen Illsley (Williams), daughter of J. O. Williams, owner of The Labrador Development Company Ltd which conducted logging operations in Port Hope Simpson 1934 1945. Bunty stayed with Katie Doreen in Port Hope Simpson, Labrador, Newfoundland, Canada for one year, 1935-36 and returned to stay for another year 1936-37. The aim of the interview was to find out as much as possible about the Labrador Development Company Ltd. in connection with the history of Port Hope Simpson and in particular any relevant information in connection with the two unexplained deaths of Arthur Eric Williams, the owners eldest son and his infant daughter Erica DAnitoff Williams, the granddaughter of a Russian Count DAnitoff. John Edward Illesley, the grandson of J. O. Williams and his wife Sheila were also present and took a very active part in the interview. John had brought along the family archives (consisting of albums of photographs with documents and letters written at the time) to show Llewelyn and gave him an original Labrador Development Company Ltd. brochure undated, printed in Cardiff most likely in 1934 or 1935 that included two maps showing its timber concessions in Labrador and a Labrador Mining Company concession area. John then started to take Llewelyn through his collection of photographs and other documents with Mrs. Squire and Sheila contributing as we went alongI was particularly interested to hear from Bunty that John Hope Simpson purchased timber rights after the First World War although it was not clear whether or not they were for his own personal benefit. If they were it meant that he could have actually been the employer of J. O. Williams whilst also Commissioner for Natural Resources and acting - Commissioner for Justice in Newfoundland. It would explain an awful lot This item ships from La Vergne,TN. book. Bookseller Inventory # 9781482334715

Read about the original Oral History interview (Independent ResearchEnglishJapanese) with Mrs. It would explain an awful lot This item ships from La Vergne,TN. book. Bookseller Inventory # 9781482335019
