Seller: David Hallinan, Bookseller, Columbus, MS, U.S.A.
[missing 1-2], [4], 3-194 pages plus covers. Staple-bound paperback: H 23.25cm x L 14.75cm. Paper covers soiled and rubbed with curling and wear at corners, short tears at spine ends, foxing to rear cover as well. Staples rusted but binding firm. Two small paper stubs evident at binding staples between front cover and unpaged two-leaf Firestone ad; presumably stubs are for pages 1-2 (title/t.o.c. leaf is pages 3-4) which, in other editions, is the missing map of exhibition grounds. Some foxing and light soiling to edges; interior pages remains fairly clean but with varied curling to majority of bottom fore-edge corners throughout. Else a good copy. Classic catalog for the 1933 World's Fair with Art Deco themes. With b/w photographs, advertisements, List of Fair Exhibitors, etc. Apparently this is a variant 1933 edition likely issued quite late in the year as most 1933 copies have only 176 pages. 1934 Fair guidebooks were issued with 194 pages but this copy differs from that edition in that it does not have a Western Union telegram form as an unpaginated tear-out leaf towards the guidebook's rear.
