Contains black and white photographic plates. Pages and plates are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. Scuffed paper remnants to front free endpaper. Notable water staining to edges of pages and pastedowns. Cracking to gutters of a few pages with exposed binding. Light scuffing to text-block edges. Binding is slightly shaky. Boards have heavy edge wear with bumping to corners and rub wear all over. Crushing to spine ends with small splits and fraying to cloth. Scuffing and light marking overall. Notable tanning to spine and edges. Notable water staining to all surfaces. Black marks to rear board. Library stickers and tape to spine. Book is forward leaning.

As reported in the August 6, 1974 issue of the Montreal Gazette, Lord's Sports Shop went out of business after more than 35 years, as longtime owner Myer Insky declared bankruptcy. Also laid in is a postcard of Robinson's dugout pose, bearing his "in the plate" autograph in the border of the photograph. Signed by Author(s). Book.
