A decent copy of the first edition, first printing of this title retold, edited, and arranged by Frederick Orville Perkins, illustrated with full-page color frontispiece and sixteen black and white illustrations by Alice B. Woodward, and four full-page songs in text. Text is solid, clean, and tight. Lettering to front board is bright and unflaked, much less so to spine which is a bit mottled at the spine crown. No marks or highlights in text. Other mild mottling to foredges and front board, faded (barely visible) cup ring to front board. Small previous owner's name to front endpaper and small bookplate to front pastedown. Not ex-lib. Not a Book Club Edition. Photos sent upon request.
