Two Volumes. Light brown leather binding, attractive gilt-decorated spine, pale end-papers, blue/pink marbling to page-edges. Volume I - rear hinge cracked. Some wear to corners through to card at boards' tips, light surface marks to boards, some wear with rubbing to edges. Top spine-end chipped 1-1.5cm, rubs to bottom spine-end , black title-plates have fallen off spine, moderate rubbing to raised cross-banded areas. Volume Two - front spine hinge cracked and spine covering has tear near bottom. Light/some wear to boards' corners. Light rubs to edges of boards, light surface marks. Both volumes have a light wave to pages. Attractive B&W illustrations, binding of text block is very sound in both cases, text of both is also very clean and in nice condition.
