This is a collection of 15 priceless stories in which the role of the hero is shared by true sportsmen and gallant horses. Stories of men who were prepared to back their own judgement with real money; of horses which gave their last ounce to thrust their head first past the winning post; of men who were good losers and modest winners and horses which learned and responded to the affection and care lavished upon them. These tales of the hunting field and the race course are tremendously dramatic.
