Item Description: Delacorte Press, (New York), 1969. Hardcover. First edition. Fine in a modestly spine-toned, else crisp and near fine dustwrapper. Boldly Inscribed by the author on the half-title. A very nice copy of the author's best-known title. A splendid blend of history, humor, and fantasy in the story of optometrist Billy Pilgrim, survivor of the firebombing of Dresden, unstuck in time and living an alternate life on the planet Tralfamadore. Basis for George Roy Hill's 1972 film that managed to make a good movie out of a virtually unfilmable novel. Bookseller Inventory # 348094

Item Description: Delacorte, New York, 1969. Hardcover. Book Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. First edition / First printing. Signed by the author. Blue cloth. 186 pages. Fine in fine dust jacket. A remarkably fresh and attractive copy, with just a hint of toning to the spine of this fragile dust jacket. The author's breakthrough masterpiece. After twenty years of struggling for critical and popular success, this book gave him the audience and recognition he had sought. The horrific firebombing of Dresden, which he witnessed as a POW, shocked Vonnegut into a lifelong distrust of the senseless and amoral violence of all war. A classic of counter-culture literature. Item Description: Delacorte, NY, 1969. Hard Cover. Book Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. First Edition. First edition of this, the author's most notable novel -- about the fire bombing of Dresden. This copy is signed by Paul Collins, and dated in year of publication. He had something to do with either the author or Delacorte Press, because this is a presentation copy of Dr. Charles Brown, who, according to a laid in note, found an error on Page 158 that has "already been brought to the author's attention". I cannot detect the error, so it may have to do with historical fact. A most handsome copy of a book that is getting harder to locate in collectable condition. A bookplate signed by Mr. Vonnegut is laid in. AUTHOR-SIGNED Bookplate. Bookseller Inventory # 007247

Item Description: Delacorte Press (1969), New York, 1969. hardcover. First Edition. In the first issue dustwrapper. Vonnegut’s masterpiece, a classic of time travel, metaphysics, and the immorality of war. "It sounds like a fantastic last-ditch effort to make sense of a lunatic universe. But there is so much more to this book. It is very tough and very funny; it is sad and delightful; and it works." —New York Times Fine, tight copy in a beautiful dustwrapper with none of the tanning or darkening normally associated with this title. Other than a touch of very light wrinkling to the spine head and a brief 1/2" closed tear to the bottom of the front panel, the dustwrapper is as close to new as one could hope for. A gorgeous copy, and uncommon as such. Bookseller Inventory # 010637

A lovely, Near Fine copy of the book apparently read just once with a few page corners creased where they were turned down. In a Near Fine dust jacket with hardly any of the common toning to spine and just a few faint splash marks on the spine that don't go through to the verso. A scarce advanced review copy with a large photo of the author and the publisher's blue typed review slip. Vonnegut's most famous work and one that has sparked controversy and discussion since its release. Slated for a second film debut under famed filmmaker Guillermo del Toro's leadership. One of Time magazine's top 100 novels since 1923. A much nicer copy than is usually found. Near Fine in Near Fine. dust jacket. Bookseller Inventory # 861
