Item Description: Philadelphia & NY: Lippincott, (1960), 1960. Hardcover. Book Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. True First Edition of this beloved contemporary classic. Although internally completely unmarked and quite fresh, the boards, sadly, are dreadful: stained, worn and generally unsightly. However -- and it's a big however -- this copy is in a large sense redeemed by the one of the finest dust jackets imaginable for this title. Having been put away and treasured for years, this, the original dust jacket -- $3.50 price intact -- is gloriously fresh, clean and bright, truly Fine but for some infinitesimal, hardly noticable minor creases primarily at spine extremities and, on dj verso, some rough separation lines from having once been glued to the book . Additionally, this copy is signed on the front free endpaper by Mary Badham who starred as Scout in the iconic film adaptation. The actress has penned her name then the name of her character: Mary Badham / "Scout" Please inquire if one wishes to purchase the dust jacket ONLY. Bookseller Inventory # ABE-4270258165
