Edges of text block red, internally pages have some age tanning but clean and unmarked apart from three pencilled notations. There are charming b/w decorations to contents page and chapter heading and endings. This was a complimentary copy from the author (Alderman of the Ward of Aldersgate) as it has his compliments slip pasted on front free endpaper. Owners name in pencil on half title. The book was produced on the occasion of the openeing of the burial ground of St. Botolphs as a public park, now known as Postman's Park, in the heart of the City of London. Perhaps best known for his novels such as Slaughterhouse 5, this was the first play written by Kurt Vonnegut and is a satire on the trappings and traditions of heroism.
