Item Description: Jonathan Cape, London, 1956. Hard Cover. Book Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. First Edition. Black covered boards with debossed diamond pattern to front. Diamond emblem in silver to front board. Silver titling to spine, 257 pages. Corners square, but fore-edge of front board is rubbed through for about one centimeter and there is a small scratch on the rear board. Reading slant, not severe but quite apparent. Hinges sound. Previous owner's signature to front free end paper. Cover has some marks of pale discolouration, one centimenter rub at fore-edge of first end paper. Dust jacket faded, worn at edges and chipped at corners. The back in particular shows general grubbiness and five digits in ink which have nodiscernible business being there. Several pieces of clear tape have been discreetly applied to stress points, and the jacket is now encased in an archival cover. Despite these flaws, artist Pat Marriot's image of Tiffany Case remains alluring. Shipping charges are calculated for a standard parcel under 1 kg.
