Judging Books by Their Cover: Vote Now
At long last, our March Madness Battle of the Beautiful Books has come to an end, and we have a winner. Congratulations to author/poet Susan Briscoe, publisher Vehicule Press of Montreal and cover designer David Drummond - the ultimate victor is The Crow's Vow, whose pale pink cover with a black silhouette of a crow (in place of the printed word) beat out all 31 other gorgeous competitors. Kudos also to author Ma Jian, publisher Farrar, Straus and Giroux and cover designer Charlotte Strick - The Noodle Maker, with its stack of bowls and warm, sunshine colors took second place. Thanks to everyone who participated in our month-long book bout - we enjoyed seeing the votes and hearing everyone's comments throughout.
