The winning verse and the best other poems will be published on AbeBooks. We'll take a haiku, a limerick, a sonnet, an elegy, even blank verse. The only restriction is your imagination, except:

Writer's block? Here are some ideas to get you started. Why not write about:

  • the agony of waiting in line to buy textbooks
  • what you'd do with money you save buying cheap textbooks on AbeBooks

  • the best/worst textbook you've ever used
  • the benefits of buying books online

But those are just some jumping off points. The sky's the limit, and the more imaginative your poem, the better.
