About Compass Rose Books
Compass Rose Books is a retail internet sales and by-appointment shop in Berkeley California, started in 1996. We specialize in high-end Rare and Collectible Poetry, Modern Firsts, Belles-Lettres, some Genre Fiction (Mystery, Sci-Fi and Fantasy), Photography, and Angling. We have about 16,000 books online, and approximately 60,000 books in inventory. Customers are encouraged to contact us first by e.mail or phone to place orders, or make inquiries. For those in the San Francisco Bay Area, or who are visiting, wishing to view our stock, please call for an appointment time (any day between 11:00-6:00). We also issue occasional catalogues. We are always interested in considering for purchase or appraisal collections in estates or private hands, and will travel. Trade discounts considered on an individual basis.

Visa/Mastercharge, Personal Check or Money Order with phone or e.mail orders. Shipping is extra, U.S.
Priority Mail ($7.50-12.00), or rush Air Freight (billed at cost). Books are guaranteed to be in condition
described, and any book may be returned within 10 days in same condition for full refund. Returned
checks will result in $50.00 fee to customer. California residents are charged appropriate sales tax.

Shipping Terms:
Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required.
