In addition to our general stock, we feature books on history, nature literature, environmental studies, and natural history, as well as academic press books. We carry a stock of difficult to find books of interest to scholars and general readers.
VISIT OUR NEW BOOKSHOP. We are located in beautiful Meadows of Dan, southwestern Virginia, at the intersection of Route 58 and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Parkway is in the trees in the rear of this photo of our book bungalow. To reach us from the Parkway, exit near Milepost 178, about two miles south of Mabry Mill, onto Route 58. (Do not trust Google Maps directions.) Our address is 36 Concord Road (behind Poor Farmers Market and The Meadow's Edge knife shop).
Our shop features a diverse inventory of new books at discount prices and our inventory of antiquarian, used, and out-of-print books, including books that are not included in our ABE listings. Bookstore Terms
You may order from us by e-mail, ABE's shopping basket, or regular mail. We will reserve the books you order for 10 days, pending the arrival of your payment. (Virginia residents, please include the 5% state sales tax.) If you are not satisfied with the books you receive, you may return them, prepaid and in their original condition, within 10 days for a full refund of their purchase price. We will also refund postage if the return is due to our error.

Shipping Terms:
Orders usually ship within 2 business days vis USPS. Domestic orders include Delivery Confirmation. International orders include Certificate of Mailing. Shipping costs are based on books weighing up to 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. Insurance available at additional cost. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know that extra shipping payment is required.
