Our PR department is dedicated to raising the profile of the company and its booksellers through newspapers, magazines, websites and broadcast media on a daily basis.

During 2005, AbeBooks.com ran PR campaigns to highlight rare and antiquarian books; our unique search for real Harry Potters, college textbooks, and the growth of used books in the US. We also covered the world’s weirdest books, Robert Burns, the Maltese Falcon, Hunter S Thompson, Irish literature, Nancy Drew, CS Lewis and even Pamela Anderson’s debut as a bookseller in the sitcom Stacked.

The 10-year anniversary of AbeBooks provides a major opportunity for our PR department to spread the word about what we offer. Newspapers, magazines, websites and broadcast media are being contacted with details about AbeBooks’ history, background and unique place within bookselling. From facts and figures about the site to interviews with the original founders, the media are being offered numerous angles on the AbeBooks story.
