Since the launch of our Free Shipping Promotion in July we’ve seen a lot of interest from book buyers and sellers. New visitors are especially interested in this offer, because it tells them that Abebooks booksellers offer competitive prices. With the upcoming holiday season, we will merchandise this feature prominently throughout the site.

Shipping Updates

We’ve updated the Shipping Matrix and default Shipping Terms to be more reflective of the competitive shipping rates and speeds that our booksellers offer.

The default Shipping Terms text now includes: “Orders usually ship within 2 business days.”

The Shipping Matrix maximum times for your domestic country have been reduced from 99 days to 45 for standard mail, and from 99 days to 30 for priority.

Remember, Abebooks is the only marketplace that allows you to set your own shipping rates and speeds using our adjustable Shipping Matrix, and to reimburse you 100% for your shipping prices.
