Both AbeBooks.com and the Book Guys love books, and that's why we have been supporting the Book Guys radio show throughout 2005. Were pleased to announce that we're staging an exclusive contest for Book Guys listeners during December.
We asked the Book Guys to select a single book that would put a smile on your face in the middle of winter. They came up with this beautiful four-volume first edition of North American Wild Flowers by Mary Vaux Walcott.
"The stunning paintings of North American Wild Flowers are the highlight of this collectible book. It's always struck me as a beautiful book and one that any collector would love to own," said Book Guy Allan Stypeck.
Valued at $500, this 1925 edition was published by the Smithsonian Institute. AbeBooks.com currently offers eight first edition copies of this highly collectible book with prices starting at $475.
