TRUE SIGNED FIRST EDITIONS OF RONALD REAGAN'S AUTOBIOGRAPHY
"AN AMERICAN LIFE" APPEAR ON ABEBOOKS.COM PRICED TO
$4,000
Eighteen signed copies of the late president's memoir priced
$500-$4,000 are for sale from professional booksellers on AbeBooks.com,
the world's largest website for new, used, rare and out-of-print
books
(BOOK EXPO AMERICA, Chicago, Ill., June 6, 2004)- Independent
book sellers are listing eighteen signed copies of Ronald Reagan's
autobiography "An American Life" for sale on www.abebooks.com.
At time of release, prices ranged from $500 to $4,000, but these
prices are expected to rise.
Booksellers predict that the passing of Reagan at age of 93 on
Saturday June 5, will result in an outpouring of remembrances
for the man, and increased interest in reading his autobiography.
"An American Life" offers a look at Reagan as lifeguard,
athlete, husband, father, movie star, governor, and president.
It was first published by Simon & Schuster in 1990 and quickly
became a bestseller. Rare copies of "An American Life"
that are inscribed by the late president to friends, and copies
of the book signed by Nancy Reagan, are also starting to appear
for sale on AbeBooks.com.
With Bill Clinton's autobiography "My Life" slated for
release June 22, booksellers anticipate that comparisons will
be made between each man's recollections of their time in the
White House, and that these two books-new and used copies-will
enjoy brisk summer sales on AbeBooks.com.
