ABEBOOKS.COM APPOINTS NEW VP FINANCE, BOARD OF DIRECTORS

(Victoria, BC) - AbeBooks.com, today announces the selection of
Bryan Wilson to Vice President, Finance and Administration along
with the appointments of William Yu and Erik Dysthe to the company's
first Board of Directors, a 5-person group formed in July of 2001.
Mr. Wilson, brings a strong background in finance
and strategic planning for both public and private technology-based
companies. His past experience includes serving as Chief Financial
Officer of Unity Wireless, a developer and manufacturer of acoustic
and wireless technologies; and as Vice President, Finance and
Planning of Vancouver's Phytogen Life Sciences Inc., a manufacturer
of natural product pharmaceuticals.

Mr. Yu, a member of the Board, has extensive experience
in finance and investing for both public and private firms, and

to create, link, and manage networks.
Erik Dysthe will also serve as Board member, and
provide his expertise in managing rapid growth within technology
companies. To the position, he brings his experience from Mobile
Data International (MDI) and as a founder and CEO of Mobile Data
Solutions Inc. (MDSI), the largest provider of mobile workforce
management solutions.

Mr. Wilson, a Victoria resident since 1982, earned
a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto,
and an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the
University of British Columbia.
Mr. Yu holds a Masters of Business Administration
and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with Honors
from Queen's University.
Mr. Dysthe earned his Bachelor of Commerce from
Montreal's Concordia University.
