BOOKSELLERS ON BOARD WITH LIBRARY PROGRAM IN UK AND CANADA
28th July 2000
(Victoria, BC) - AbeBooks.com announces today a growing
response to a new program that allows booksellers in the United
Kingdom and Canada to market their books to major research and
institutional libraries in the United States. There are more than
10 million books in the program that links abebooks.com's inventory
with 21 North Main's library market, chosen from abebooks.com's
inventory of over 20 million books. Since the program opened to
the UK and Canada this month, more than three hundred booksellers
in the two countries have signed in. Sales and bookseller participation
have been steadily increasing on a weekly basis since the inception
of this program.
