(Victoria, BC – 20 February 2008)Is the child in your life bursting with stories and creativity? If so, is hosting its Story Laboratory program, a unique book-building workshop designed for kids, on February 23rd at its Victoria office located at 655 Tyee Rd (on the 5th floor).

The event is free for everyone but space is limited so registration is required. To register, please email or call AbeBooks at 475-3200.

Manned by staff, and open to all ages, the Story Laboratory sessions help children put their stories on to paper and then create their own book. For younger children, there is also the Story Laboratory colouring book., the Victoria-based online marketplace for new and used books, supplies all required materials for the creation of a literary masterpiece. launched the program last year with regular book-building workshops at public libraries around Victoria and Vancouver plus appearances at the Vancouver International Writers Festival and Portland's Wordstock festival. More events are scheduled for 2008 including an appearance at The LA Times Book Fair in Los Angeles on April 28-29.

If you can't make it on February 23rd you can download our Story Starter package so you can make a book in your own home or visit Story Laboratory at the Pacific Festival of the Book (March, 15th - 9am-4pm @ Suite 110 - 2750 Quadra Street).
