The Penguin Celebrations Charity Book auction is now closed. Thanks to everyone who took part. We hope to have more charity auctions in the future. Thanks once again.

Penguin is reissuing 36 recent bestsellers in those famous striped retro designs that helped make the publisher famous, and we’re auctioning the 14 modern fiction books from the ‘Celebrations’ series between September 6 and 11 in a single lot.

Featuring Penguin's legendary orange covers, each paperback is signed by its respective author and the list includes major writers like Nick Hornby, Jonathan Safran Foer, Zadie Smith, William Boyd, Meg Rosoff and Zoe Heller. This collection of signed books has been assembled by Penguin solely for this auction and will not be available again. Each book has a list price of £7.99 but remember this is a very special one-of-a-kind collection of signed books.

All proceeds go to English PEN – an international charity devoted to the rights of authors and freedom in literature.
