Viewing Your Want Matches

When one of your wants is matched to a book in the AbeBooks' inventory, you will receive an e-mail notification detailing the book information and the bookseller's contact information. The bookseller also receives an e-mail notification, but it includes their book information only; your account information remains private. You can also view your matched wants from the AbeBooks Web site.

When applicable, you will receive one e-mail want match notification each day. When there are multiple matches (3 or more), the notification will display information and a URL to further details on the match for the lowest priced item and the highest priced item. You will however, be given a link to view more results for your saved want(s). The wants results will be displayed in the “newest” items first sort order.

To view your recently matched wants:

Click [sign on] and enter your E-mail Address and Password.
Click [Your Wants] in the Members Menu.
Click [List recently matched wants].

If any of your wants have generated matches, the results are displayed.

Notes:

If there are additional matches that will not fit on the page, click [next].
From the "Recent Want Matches" page, you can delete or purchase books that match your wants.
Because want matches are books in our database, the books are searchable and can be browsed. If you attempt to purchase a book that matches your want and are told that it is unavailable, this means that someone else purchased the book before you checked your e-mail. You will still continue to receive more want matches.
