Bookseller Direct Return

Bookseller Direct orders are orders where the bookseller has processed your payment (either credit card or other method of payment). AbeBooks has no direct involvement with the sale.  You are required to contact the bookseller directly to request a return or refund.  

To initiate a return for a bookseller direct order:

  1. Click [sign on] and enter your E-mail Address and Password.
  2. Click [Your Purchases] from the Members Menu.
  3. Click [View Your Purchases] from the list of options that appears.
  4. In the list of orders that appears, find the book for which you'd like to initiate a return and click [Item Details].
  5. Please click the [Ask a Question] button to send an email to the bookseller regarding your order.  
 
When you write to the bookseller, please include the title/author of the book you're inquiring about as well as the Sales order or AbeBooks purchase order number.
 

AbeBooks booksellers are required to respond to buyer inquiries within 2 business days.  If you do not get a timely response back from the bookseller, please contact AbeBooks Customer Service for assistance.
