You can initiate a return for any order made through AbeBooks. In
accordance with the AbeBooks Customer Agreement, we ask you allow for
a reasonable delay (15 calendar days) should an order not arrive by its
estimated delivery date. Prior to initiating a return, please contact
the bookseller to inquire about your order. The bookseller may
be able to provide you with tracking information or more information about
the shipment of your book.
If you ordered a book and immediately realize you do not want the book,
you may cancel the order. Cancelling an order is only possible if
the bookseller has not yet processed the order.
To initiate a return for a book (for any reason):
Click [sign on]
and enter your E-mail Address and Password.
Click [Your Purchases]
from the Members Menu.
Click [View Your
Purchases] in the list of options that appears.
In the list of orders that appears, find the book
for which you'd like to initiate a return and click [Item
Details]. In the Item Details, click [Request
to Return a Book].
Select a reason for the return from the drop-down
list. An explanation of the reason codes can be found by clicking the
[Explanation of Reason Codes]
link, located to the right of the reason code menu.
Add any additional comments. These comments
are displayed to the bookseller.
Click [Initiate
Return/Refund].
Note:
Once you initiate a return, you will be offered the
ability to provide shipping and tracking
information.
If the bookseller has provided tracking information
for the order, a refund will not be initiated. You will be given
the tracking number and asked to contact the shipping company.
