On occasion you may find reason to return a book to the bookseller or to request a refund for a book that has not arrived. A return may be initiated from the "Track Your Purchases" page within 14 days of receiving the book. To allow for reasonable shipping delays, the AbeBooks system makes available the refund option for "Item not received" 15 days past the estimated delivery date. If your order has not arrived and it is not yet 15 days past the maximum delivery date, please contact the bookseller directly for more information rather than using an incorrect return reason.
On the AbeBooks site, click [sign on] and enter your E-mail Address and Password. If you are already signed on, click [your account] above the red banner.
Click
[Your Purchases] in the
Members Menu.

Click
[View your purchases] in
the Your Purchases menu.

To display your orders:
Type
the Sales Order No. and
click [List Orders].

In
the Orders per page list,
click the number of your choice, and then click [List
Orders].

Click
[Item Details] beside the
book you wish to return.

Click
the [Request to Return Book]
button on the Item Details page.

Select an option from the [Reason] list.
Type an explanation for the return in the [Comments:] text box.
Click
the [Initiate Return/Refund]
button to complete your request.

An e-mail message is sent to the bookseller, including the comments you entered, and an e-mail confirmation about the return is sent to you. The e-mail messages include the following information:
