Searching the Books of a Specific Bookstore

Occasionally, you may wish to purchase books from a specific bookseller or from booksellers in a specific country. There are two advantages to this.  First, you can reduce the cost of shipping by finding booksellers close to you or by ordering multiple items from the same store. Second, you can purchase one or more books from a bookseller with an area of specialty that interests you.  You can also use this feature to find bookstores in your area.

To search for a bookseller:

  1. Click [Bookstores] in the red banner.

  2. Click a letter of the alphabet to list books beginning with the selected letter.
    - or -
  3. Type a bookstore name, or portion of a name, in the Bookseller Search: text box. Click [Search].
    - or -
  4. Click the "by location" link.

Searching by Location

If you chose to search bookstores by location, you will see a new screen with further search options.

  1. If you know the name or a portion of the name, of the seller you are looking for, enter this information in the "Name:" field.  To see all sellers in a specific area, leave this field blank.
  2. From the "Country" pull-down menu, select the country you would like to search.
  3. If there is a specific location within the country that you would like to limit your search to, select this region from the "Location:" pull-down menu.  (Note: This is an optional step.)
  4. Click [Search].

The bookstore results are displayed.  You can search or browse a bookstore's inventory by clicking on the "search their inventory by author, title, publisher, and keywords" or "browse their inventory by author, title or subject" links within each bookstore entry.

Searching a Bookseller's Inventory from Book Search Results

Once you've performed a search for a book, you can search through a specific bookseller's inventory from the results list.

  1. From the Search Results screen, find a book offered by a seller that you are interested in purchasing from.  Click "[More Books from this Seller]" located at the bottom of each book listing.

  2. You will see the Advanced Search screen but in this case, only the specified seller's inventory will be searched.  (You will see a note at the top of the search form that reads "Searching the inventory of...")

  3. If you click "[Bookseller & Payment Information]" on the Search Results screen and then click [Browse this Seller's Books], if the seller organizes their listings by catalogs, you will be able to "browse" their books by catalogs (subject) headings.  Clicking on the catalog name will bring up the seller's books that are associated with that catalog.
