Organizing your book inventory by using catalogs makes browsing your listings easy for buyers, particularly when they are looking for books on specific topics. We recommend using no more than 40 catalogs for ease of browsing for book buyers.
New catalogs are created when entering a new book record using the AbeBooks
online system.
To add a catalog using the online system:
1. Click [sign on] and enter your E-mail Address and Password.
2. Enter the required information and any other details for the book.
3. In the “New Catalog” text box, type in the name of the catalog you would like to create. Note: The book will be included in this catalog.
4. Click [Add]
to save the book record and the new catalog. Note:
You may also use the [Add
and Copy] function.

Existing catalogs can be updated or deleted using the Online Inventory Management System.
Important: If you delete a catalog online, but do not delete the same catalog in your book management software, the catalog will appear back online when you upload your next book inventory file. It is recommended you maintain your book inventory with your own book management software.
