Uploading a Previously Created File
Occasionally, you may be required to send a previously created book
data file to AbeBooks. There
are three reasons why you might have to do this.
- You created an export file of your book data and
you wish to send it at a later time.
- You received the message "No matches - nothing
to send." This
means that you have not made any changes to your book records since the
last time you created a file.
- You could not connect to AbeBooks to upload the book
data file during the HomeBase [Send to
Abe] procedure.
In each case a file is created but not sent. It
is located in: C:\Program Files\hb2\export.
If you have not sent a subsequent book data file to AbeBooks, you can
resend the file.
To Resend a Previously Created File
- In HomeBase, go to [File],
[Import/Export] then [Export/Send
to AbeBooks]
- When the "Send Data to AbeBooks" window
appears, select [Send a previously created
file] and click [Send].
- The Export window will appear. Select
the file you'd like to upload and click [Open].
- Complete the [Connect],
[Send File], [Exit]
process as usual. The
file has now been sent to AbeBooks.
