Creating a Free Storefront

AbeBooks provides a free service for Booksellers to create and post their own homepages which we call Storefronts.  We combine the information we have on file for your business with some of your preferences to automatically create a personalized Storefront for you.  Your Storefront is accessible from AbeBooks and you can use the URL to direct buyers to search your inventory!

Storefronts include:

• Four different color and design choices for your storefront border.

• Images to enhance the design.

• Your contact information, including an optional link to Google Maps so that buyers can easily find their way to your physical store.

• Promotion of two of your catalogs, which you can change as often as you'd like.

To create a free Storefront:

1. Click [sign on] and enter your E-mail Address and Password.
2. Click [Your Storefront] in the Members Menu.
   
   
3. Click [Create a free Storefront] in the Your Storefront menu.
   
   
4. Within Step 1 of the Storefront wizard:
• De-select any contact information you don't want displayed on your page by clicking on the corresponding checkbox.
• Add a description of your bookstore.
• Select the catalogs you want featured.  If you only want to display one, choose "- No Catalog -" in one of the catalog drop-down boxes.  If you don't have catalogs associated with your inventory, the system will prompt you to create some.
• In the Catalog Headline textboxes, enter a caption for the catalog.
• Within the textbox for Catalog Description, elaborate on the catalog by providing further details on the books assigned to the catalog.
  
  Note: Your contact information and Bookstore Terms are retrieved from your AbeBooks account information.
  
  
5. Step 2 allows you to choose a style for your storefront.  Click the radio button next to the template you want to use as a border on the page.
6. Select an image for you page by clicking the button next to the picture in the Storefront Image section.
   
   

7. Click the [Save & View Storefront] button to finish your storefront.  
   
   
    

8. Your storefront is displayed for review.  If you would like to make any changes, click on the "Edit this page" link at the top of the page to return to the storefront wizard.
