As per the AbeBooks Agreement, AbeBooks does not collect or remit any taxes or duties for any sales of items on our Web sites as we do not take title to any book at any time; all sales are completed between you and the book buyer. You are responsible for the payment of all sales taxes and duties, if applicable, for items sold through the Web sites. Book buyers receive the message "Your purchase may be subject to applicable taxes" with every order.
If domestic taxes are required, you can recoup these charges by including a clause in your terms of sale indicating that taxes may be applicable to each sale and then you can request extra charges on the sale of each book. You can also add the amount of the taxes to the list price of each book, or increase the rates in your shipping matrix.
