"Seller Direct" refers to any order where the bookseller,
rather than AbeBooks, processes the buyer's payment.
If you process your own credit card payments, or accept payment forms
such as check or money order, you have the option to cancel an order.
When the order is cancelled, the buyer will be notified by e-mail and
the commission fee is refunded to you.
How to cancel seller direct orders:
Click [sign on]
and enter your E-mail Address and Password.
Click [Process your
Orders] from the Quick Links menu to access the "Order List"
screen.
Enter the AbeBooks purchase order number.
Click the [List
Orders] button.
On the "Order List" screen, click [Cancel Order] for the order you need
to cancel.
Because you process your own payments, you will
be directed to a cancellation screen rather than a return/refund screen.
Select the appropriate reason for the cancellation.
Enter comments for the buyer. The
comments will be forwarded in the cancellation e-mail message.
Click [Cancel Order]
to complete the cancellation
Note:
Please note the book is removed from our online
inventory when ordered. Cancelling
the order does not restore the book online.
