Domestic Rates
in Search Results
The results of two recent tests have shown us that including domestic
shipping costs in search results sells more books to more people. Therefore,
this will become a permanent change on the site in October. As well, we
are currently testing a Free Shipping icon in Search Results for all participating
booksellers.

Spanish Books Keywords
We have now launched our redesigned Spanish
Books section. If you list
Spanish-language books, please include the keyword "Espanol"
when uploading them - this will ensure your books appear when visitors
search via the Spanish Books page.

Your FREE Holiday Bookmarks & Stickers
Abebooks is offering our booksellers a supply of 8 x 2 ½ bookmarks and 4 x 2 ½ stickers
for the busy holiday season at absolutely no cost. We will even cover the shipping!
Abebooks.com has partnered with Aloha Airlines who is sponsoring our online
holiday contest with a free flight for 2 to Hawaii from anywhere in the
US or Canada. The back of each bookmark will include the contest prize from Aloha
and will direct customers to the Holiday Shop on Abebooks.com to enter.
As a bookseller, you will also have a space on the back of the bookmark
to include your bookstore’s contact details in order to promote your
business as part of the Abebooks.com community of booksellers. If you order 10,000
bookmarks or more we will print your store details on them for free! Each
order of bookmarks will come with the same amount of stickers for the outside
of your mailing packages. Be sure to include a bookmark and sticker in

Seattle
Antiquarian Book Fair
Sue Connors, our Director of Sales and Account Management, and Ben Ospino
from our Product Management department will be attending the Seattle Antiquarian
Book Fair at Seattle Center on October 8 & 9, 2005. The book fair features
thousands of rare books, prints, maps, photographs & ephemera for sale, and
the work of several prominent book artists. If you are in the area, come
down and visit us at booth #807.

Random
Acts of Poetry
Abebooks is again the proud sponsor of Random Acts of Poetry, which this
year features 26 poets reading in 21 Canadian communities, and nine poets
reading in UK and Irish cities.
From October 3rd to 9th,
watch for acclaimed poets from across Canada reading poems to people they meet
on the street, at bus stops, in local schools and other every day places.
