As we announced last month, Abebooks will begin accepting payments for all MasterCard and Visa transactions on our websites starting April 3, 2006.

The Abebooks Bookseller Agreement has been amended to reflect this change. Effective at 12:01 a.m. on April 3, 2006 (PST), the Abebooks Agreement dated April 1, 2004 will be automatically amended by being replaced with a new Abebooks Agreement dated April 3, 2006. Changes include revisions to the Abebooks Program Guide, Bookseller Policies, and Fee Schedules. The new agreement can be viewed in detail in Bookseller Central. [Review the new Agreement.]

It's not necessary to sign the new Agreement; it will automatically apply to all current Abebooks booksellers who continue to list their books with Abebooks after April 2, 2006. To help make your transition to using Abebooks Payment Services a smooth one, our Customer Support team has put together a list of Tips about order processing, returns and payments. For example: unprocessed orders expire 4 days after they're received when Abebooks accepts the buyer's payment – make sure you know how to come online to process yours.
