We've
redesigned our existing bookseller homepage tool into a new storefront
product that gives you more options to promote your bookstore.
The
beta version is now live so you can test it out and design a new
storefront before the full version is launched.
We
hope you'll take a minute to explore the new templates and design
a storefront that's right for your store.
The
new storefronts include:
- Four different color choices for your storefront background
- Choice of photographs to enhance the design
- Your contact information, including an optional link to Google
Maps so that buyers can easily find their way to your physical
store
- Promotions of two of your catalogs, which you can change
as often as you'd like to feature the books of your choice
We've
prepared an example to get you inspired, and you can view it in
Bookseller Central. [Check
out the new look for storefronts.] We’ll be adding new
features and tools to these storefronts as we move through the
year, and we'll keep you posted with the updates. If you’d
like to participate in this development, please join
our Bookseller Advisory Group.
Creating
your
storefront is easy! Simply sign on to your account and click [Your
Homepage] and then [Create a free homepage]. Make your selections
and add in any text you'd like, and then preview before submitting
the final copy. [Read
instructions in Online Help.]
If
you already have an Abebooks homepage, it will continue to be
displayed for now, but if you don't have one already, your new
storefront will be live for buyers to see.
All
new storefronts will be visible to buyers over the coming weeks,
and when they're fully launched, you'll be able to add the easy-to-remember
web address www.abebooks.com/home/Your User ID to your business
cards, e-mail signature, and wherever you promote your store.
