Dear (bookseller),

Over the next few months, we're focusing on providing you with new tools that will improve searching and browsing on the Web sites.

First up, you'll get to try Abebooks Categories in our online inventory management tool, and the Advisory Group will be looking at Browse. Here are the new features we're introducing over the next few months. [Check out an overview in Bookseller Central.]

Abebooks Browse Categories
The current Abebooks Browse is based on the keywords you assign to your listings. We're introducing an expanded category list to reflect our booksellers' many specialties and new tools to help you assign your listings to these new categories. [Find out how to participate and more about Categories and Browse.]

HomeBase 3.0
The best inventory management software available to booksellers is about to get even better: the HomeBase 3.0 beta test has already begun. [Learn more about the program and how to become a tester.]

Search Refinements
We're introducing standard refinements to our Web sites to makes searching and finding accurate results easy. We'll start with HomeBase 3.0 - where you'll be able to map your unique and detailed conditions to our standard set. Search results will be easy to refine while you continue to offer full and rich descriptions.[Read more about making your books easier to find – and buy.]

Online Listings Manager
We're adding categorization tools to our online listings manager next week so you can take advantage of our new Browse Categories. In late fall, more features will be added to bring our online tools inline with HomeBase 3.0.

Custom Conversions
If we've built a custom conversion for you to send us your files (from Excel or other listing software), we'll have tools for you to take advantage of the new refinements this fall. More information will be coming out over the next few months, so watch your inbox for details.

We'll keep you up to date on our progress; make sure to read your Bookseller Digests and Bulletins, and check the Forums and Bookseller Central for updates. We'll also be asking for your feedback along the way, so please sign up for the Advisory Group if you aren't already a member.

Sincerely,

Sue, Shaun and Jordan
Your Sales & Account Management Team
