| Hello
(bookseller),
We're
always looking for ways to provide better buying and selling experiences
on Abebooks. Recently, we approached the Advisory Group about
our listings policies, and more than 300 booksellers responded.
Based on their feedback, we'll be launching updated policies on
July 7th.
The
following listings are affected:
- Listing more than one copy of a book (unless it is materially
different)
- Print on Demand books
New
Policies
Print on Demand books should be labeled consistently in your listings
to make it easier for buyers to find or exclude them using Boolean
searches. Booksellers must use the quantity field or limit their
listings to 2 copies for each book (unless the book is materially
different).
All
of the new policies will be effective on July 7, 2006, to allow
you time to make updates to your listings. After that, our Security
and Trust team will begin investigating and following up on any
violations.
You
can review the new Policies (in red text) in Bookseller Central.

Next
Steps
We also asked the Advisory Group for their feedback on reprints,
but the opinions were split. We'll be reaching out to our new
customer advisory group soon to determine the next steps for reprint
policies.
If
you'd like to provide your feedback on features and policies in
the future, sign
up for the Advisory Group today.
If
you have any questions about the new policies, please don't hesitate
to contact
our Customer Support team.
Sincerely,
Sue,
Shaun and Jordan
