Bookseller Bulletin October 4, 2006
[]

Dear (bookseller),

The world's largest online marketplace for books is now even bigger: Gene's Books of Stafford, Kansas uploaded AbeBooks' 100 millionth listing on September 21, 2006.

About the Book
The 100 millionth listing on AbeBooks was a signed 1991 first edition of A Checklist of the Vertebrate Animals of Kansas by George D Potts and Thomas T Collins. Gene Medenwald of Gene's Books bought the book at an estate auction in Concordia, Kansas. AbeBooks purchased the book from Gene as an important piece of our company history.

The New Logo
We're launching a new logo this week, which we hope will help people recognize and remember us better. The book icon shows what we're all about – moving books around the world - and is more memorable than the simple wordmark we've used since 2000. You'll notice the new style of writing our name, too: AbeBooks, which demonstrates the pronunciation of the company name.

Check out the top left corner of this e-mail message to see our new logo! It'll be live on the Web site tomorrow.

International Expansion
Please join us in welcoming the Iberlibro buyers and booksellers this season when our Spanish Web site will be fully integrated with AbeBooks. Our Spanish sellers' listings will be searchable from the four AbeBooks Web sites, and buyers on Ibleribro.com will find your listings, too. If you have any Spanish language books in your inventory that aren't online yet, now is a good time to add them!

We'll also be launching an Italian Web site in the new year: www.abebooks.it. Already, more than 50 Italian booksellers have signed up to sell their books.

Thank you for joining us in welcoming our newest international booksellers and buyers, as well as our new logo, to the AbeBooks team.

Sincerely,

All of us at AbeBooks
