Announcing AbeBooks Coupons!
We are very excited to announce that over the next little while, we will be testing the new AbeBooks Coupon system. Coupons will be issued by AbeBooks, and will be used to encourage buyers to discover and return to AbeBooks. All coupon costs will be completely covered by AbeBooks; booksellers will receive the full purchase price for all books ordered with the use of a coupon.
You will soon notice a Coupon Code field at the bottom of the Shopping Basket. Shortly afterward, coupon testing will begin with our Bookseller Advisory Group and our Customer Advisory Board. If you would like to be one of the first to try out the Coupon system, we invite you to join the Bookseller Advisory Group to receive your coupon and provide your feedback on this new feature.

Bookseller Profile: Royal Books
Kevin Johnson, the owner of Royal Books in Baltimore, is a man of many talents. Aside from being one of the America's top sellers of collectible modern first editions, Kevin has just released his first book – The Dark Page: Books That Inspired American Film Noir 1940-1949.
A former government civil servant and a one-time musician, Johnson defines Film Noir as a style rather than a genre. For most of us, Film Noir is recognized primarily as gritty, black and white crime dramas with doomed anti-heroes and disheartening endings. However, as Johnson points out, the Film Noir style has stretched across westerns, science fiction, romance and other genres.

AbeBooks Subsidiaries: LibraryThing
This month we are pleased to present the third in our series highlighting AbeBooks subsidiary companies: who they are, what they do, and how they can help you! This month’s featured subsidiary is LibraryThing.
LibraryThing is an online service designed to help people catalog their books easily. You can access your catalog from anywhere—even on your mobile phone. Because everyone catalogs together, LibraryThing is able to connect people who own the same books, come up with suggestions for what to read next, and do all sorts of similarly fun and interesting things.

Checking Your 'For Sale' Count in HomeBase: Viewing Statistics and Reports
by Tracy
Abebooks HomeBase can create reports showing the current counts for books, catalogs, wants, clients, and invoices. The statistics for books are also broken down by the number of books 'For Sale,' 'On Hold,' and 'Sold.' The reports are available to view, save, and print. Many booksellers find this feature helpful in comparing 'For Sale' listings in HomeBase with their online Book Counts.

AbeBooks Wiki – Book Fairs
Last month, we launched the AbeBooks Wiki, a place where booksellers and book buyers can find and share information on everything related to books. This month, we are requesting that you help us create an extensive and exhaustive list of Book Fairs for 2008. Please add and edit our Book Fairs article at http://wiki.abebooks.com/index.php/Book_Fairs. If you aren’t comfortable entering the information into the table format, just add a note at the bottom of the page and someone in the community will fix it up. That’s the magic of the Wiki!
And while you are on our Wiki, feel free to browse, add and edit any article related to books.
