Hello,

Thanks to everyone who voted in our first Avid Reader Book Club book selection poll! The votes were very close, and the two top choices were tied for much of the last 24 hours of the poll.

The Next Pick
A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian by Marina Lewycka is our next read. Because Alan Brennert's Moloka'i was so close behind in the poll, we'll read it after Tractors. I'm looking forward to reading and discussing both of these books with you, and I'm adding the close runner-up, Arthur Conan Doyle's The Hound of the Baskervilles to my personal must-read list too! Discussing Tractors
No matter which book you voted for, I hope you'll read these two choices with us; book clubs can be a great opportunity to read something you wouldn't normally pick up. Once you've started Tractors, pop into the forums to share your first impressions, and check out our Reading Guide to stay on track. [Join the discussion.]

Happy reading,

Jennifer

P.S. Right now I'm also reading Living Things We Love to Hate by Des Kennedy.
