Shortlisted for the 2005 Booker Prize, Never Let Me Go is another classic by the author of Remains of the Day. Kathy tells her story of growing up at the prestigious boarding school Hailsham, where life is full of secrets only hinted at. It's not until she meets her childhood friends Tommy and Ruth as adults that they are able to put together the pieces of the puzzle that is their lives. The story is about the careful relationship between knowledge and hope, and is told with the same impressive emotion that is Ishiguro's trademark.
