How to Cancel an Order

 

To cancel an order after it has been submitted, simply follow the instructions below:

  1. Sign on to your AbeBooks account with your email address and password.

  2. Click [View My Purchases].

  3. Locate the order you'd like to cancel and click [Item details].

  4. Click the [Cancel this Order] button.

  5. Select the check box next to the item.

  6. Click [Cancel this Order].

  7. Click on [Verify] to verify your cancellation.

We'll send you an email confirmation of the cancellation and the bookseller will be notified as well.

Please note that if the bookseller has already processed your order, it has likely already been shipped. If this is the case, you'll need to initiate a return instead of a cancellation. You'll also need to ship the book back to the bookseller when you receive it.

You can also contact the bookseller directly to verify whether the order has been shipped and if not, ask that the seller cancel the order before shipment.
