Wants

Our booksellers list more than 110 million books; however, it is still possible for a particular book to be unavailable on our web site. If this is the case, you can create a Want and we’ll notify you by e-mail as soon as the book is listed for sale.

Creating a Want:

1.  Complete a search for the book you're looking for.

2.  Click [Create a Want] in the column on the right side of the page.

3.  Add any additional criteria you’d like included in your Want matches and click [Add Want].

Note: if you aren't signed on to your account when you search, you'll be prompted to sign on before creating the Want.

We'll send you an email as soon as we find a match. You can sign on at any time to edit your Wants or add new ones. 

Adding, Updating, or Deleting Your Wants:

1. Sign on to your AbeBooks account.

2. Click [Your Wants] in the Members Menu.

3. Click [List and maintain your Wants].

4. Click the [Add new wants to your want inventory] to add a new Want.

5. If there is a Want you’d like to remove or edit, click the [Delete this Want] or [Update this Want] links in the same row as the Want you wish to change.

If you no longer wish to receive Want match emails, just sign on to your account and delete the Want(s).
